A few weeks ago I was planning to make a simple stud earrings with these Australian crystal opals without any engravings. Then one day I was on the way back home from picking up my son from the kindergarten when a yellow ginkgo leaf fell on my footsteps. As his usual habit, he picked it up and bring it all the way home, where I would press it on a book. And slowly I began to draw some tiny illustrations of that beautiful leaf and play around with these opals and also the tiny yellow sapphires. The simple studs earrings idea would have to wait.

This piece combines one special oval shaped opal that was mined in Grawin, Lightning Ridge, Australia and cut by Norton Kalleske (geonorts_gems) that is set in 14k yellow gold bezel. Placed on hand engraved silver, connecting to 14k yellow gold stem like image, then to yellow sapphire set in 14k gold setting。

Approximate measurements at the widest.

Opal with bezel: 6x5.4mm and 5.7x6.4mm

Opal with engravings and sapphire: 10.3x10.4mm and 10.3x10,14mm

You will receive the exact same item as shown in the photos and it will come with a small wooden box.
